Amenities at EMMA
Six stories on the sand. Sixteen luxury condos, and nothing else.
Designed with families in mind, EMMA gives its guests an exclusive sanctuary away from traditional resort crowds: a capacious beachfront pool, a panoramic rooftop bar, a fitness center, a game room and a refined lounge with a fire pit, all shared by just sixteen luxury condos.
Beachfront pool and jacuzzi
The pool deck sits right on the beach, with a large swimming pool, a jacuzzi, loungers and an outdoor dining terrace. Mornings start with the sun rising over the Sea of Cortez; evenings end with the pool lit up after dark. On a beach where the surf is often too strong to swim, a pool twenty steps from the sand is the reason you can still spend the whole day in the water.
Panoramic rooftop bar
The rooftop bar is shaded by a timber pergola and looks along the full length of the beach. A jacuzzi at the edge faces the ocean. It holds sixteen households, which in practice means you will often have it to yourselves.
Fitness center
A fully equipped gym with cardio machines and strength equipment, so there is no reason to skip a workout on vacation.
Lounge, fire pit and game room
A lounge built around a fire pit, and a game room with a bar that opens to the terrace, for long evenings with family and friends.
Lobby
Guests arrive through a travertine lobby lined in warm wood, with the ocean framed at the far end.
What EMMA does not have
A sixteen home building cannot pretend to be a two hundred room resort, and it does not try. Here is what you give up, and what you get instead.
No restaurants on site
You have a full kitchen, and the Art District, the farm restaurants and the taquerías of San José del Cabo are minutes away. A private chef can cook in your home.
No spa or kids club
Treatments come to the residence by appointment. For children there is the pool, the beach, the game room and a town that is easy to walk.
No entertainment program
No schedule, no activities desk, no music at the pool. The trade is quiet, discreet days, which is the reason most of our guests choose a boutique building of sixteen condos.
Around the building
About the building
Who designed EMMA?
The architecture is by Alberto Vidal and the interiors are by Patricio Stern.
How many residences are in the building?
Sixteen residences across a six story building, so the pool, the rooftop and the lounges are never crowded.
Does the building have direct beach access?
Yes. The pool deck opens straight onto the beach at Bahía de las Palmas. The water in front of the Hotel Zone is known for a strong undertow, so this beach is for walking and sunsets rather than swimming. See the location page for the swimming beaches nearby.
Is there a restaurant or a spa in the building?
No. EMMA is a residential building, not a resort. You have a full kitchen, and the restaurants of San José del Cabo are minutes away. A chef, a massage or a grocery delivery can be arranged for your stay.
Is there a gym?
Yes, a fully equipped fitness facility for residents and guests.
